DJ Swivel

Jordan Young (known as DJ Swivel) is a Canadian Grammy-winning producer, mixer, and songwriter who has worked on records that have sold over 100 million copies.

He began his musical career in 2005 in New York City, under the mentorship of Duro, (mixer, producer, and CEO of Desert Storm Records). Alongside Duro, Swivel worked with a variety of artists including Jay-Z, Diddy, Pharrell, Britney Spears, and Fabolous.

In 2010, Swivel went on to work with Beyoncé, recording and mixing her Grammy-winning album ‘4’, then partaking in her follow-up album ‘Beyoncé’.

In 2014, he founded Headliner magazine and SKIO Music marketplace.

In 2015, he began working with The Chainsmokers as a producer and mixer, winning a Grammy for Best Dance Recording (‘Don’t Let Me Down’) and topping the Billboard Hot 100 for twelve weeks (‘Closer’).

In 2017, he began working with K-Pop superstars BTS, helping write, produce, and mix songs on their ‘Love Yourself’ and ‘Map Of The Soul’ series of albums. These broke sales records around the globe, and BTS has been the first group since The Beatles to have three #1 albums on the Billboard 200 albums chart in a year.

In 2019, Swivel founded Waves with Words, a boutique publisher and record label focused on discovering and developing new talent.

In 2020, he released his first plug-in ‘The Sauce’, and has since developed others as part of the ‘Swivel Audio’ line.

Over the past year, Swivel has collaborated with Jay Sean, Ozuna, Beéle, The Chainsmokers, Tomas Grey, Condoseven, and others.
